Athletics carnivals
Keep your athletics carnival organised from start to finish.
A school athletics day spreads officials across tracks and field events. Houseplay helps you build the program, record results where each event happens and bring the points back together.
Plan the events and the running order.
Build events for the age or grade groups you use, then bring them into a running order with times and venues. The event list holds the entrants and event details behind each item in the program, so staff can check more than a timetable.
Sprint heats can lead to finals; jumps and throws can have their own measurements and attempts. You can also include relays and other team events. See how the program is put together.
Results can come in from wherever the event happens.
A marshal can enter sprint times trackside while another records jump or throw attempts in the field. Officials see the competitors and results they need without taking over the school setup.
If a track event has rounds, Houseplay can move qualifying competitors from heats towards a final. Check the lane lists before each race. If devices or reception are a concern, print result forms and enter the results later.
The points tell the story of the day.
When events are completed, their results feed the house tally. Add bonus points for the moments outside event placings, and review potential school records before announcing them. The dashboard and billboard give staff and spectators a view of the current scores and recent activity.
The paperwork is covered too: give officials a Program of Events or printed result forms, then download competitor results and student points after the day. Download a fresh copy if results change. See the available reports.
Try it on your actual carnival day.
Start with 14 days free and no credit card. If your first carnival is later, send us its date; we'll extend access through that carnival for free. Decide afterwards.
