Subscriptions, student limits, and plan changes
Check your school's access and student limit, then renew, upgrade or subscribe through Billing.
Your school’s subscription provides access to Houseplay and determines how many students you can keep on the school list. An organisation admin can check the current package or change it in Settings → Billing.
The student limit applies to the whole Students list, even if only some students take part in a particular carnival. Adding or importing students above your package limit is blocked. Check current packages and pricing when choosing a package for your roster and any students you still need to add.
Check your current access
Open Settings → Billing to see your package, student limit and access end date. Check trial and complimentary access dates too, especially before carnival day.
If your school needs more capacity, choose a larger package.
Choose the right change
- Renew adds another annual term. It is available during the final two months of a paid subscription if no paid term is already scheduled.
- Upgrade Now increases the student limit for the rest of the current paid term. It keeps the same end date.
- Subscribe starts a paid subscription for a trial, lapsed account or account without an active paid package.
An open invoice prevents another subscription action until it is resolved.
Review and generate the invoice
- Check the current package, end date and any open invoice in Billing. Resolve an open invoice before starting another subscription action.
- Choose Renew, Upgrade Now or Subscribe, whichever is available for your account.
- Review the package, student limit, amount, GST and access dates. An upgrade shows the top-up for the remaining days.
- Check Billing details. If they are marked Incomplete, choose Edit and save the billing name, email and address.
- Select Generate Invoice, then use the payment option shown with the invoice. Keep its reference.
Confirm the change
Once payment has been recorded, return to Billing to confirm the package and access dates. A renewal adds the next annual term after the current one; an upgrade keeps the current end date. Generating the invoice alone does not activate a new subscription or upgrade.
If you have paid but the change is missing, contact support with the organisation, invoice number, payment date and what Billing shows. Do not pay a second invoice while the first payment is being checked.
