House points or champion totals look wrong

Check event completion when points are missing, or division and scoring method when totals are too high.

Choose the problem that matches what you see:

No points are being awarded

Open Events and check whether the event is complete. Results can be saved without awarding any points until the event is completed.

If Automatic Event Completion is off, choosing Done on Enter Results does not complete the event. After checking the results, use the event’s completion control in Events, then choose Complete Event. See the completion steps.

Far too many points are being awarded

Open Events and edit an affected event. Check these two fields:

1. Division: Select the division with the placing points your school uses.
2. Scoring Method: Select Division if points should come from those placings. Score uses the numeric result itself as points, even when the correct division is selected. For a timed event, that result is stored in milliseconds and can produce totals in the thousands.
