Register every student in a carnival

For a whole-school carnival, Add All Students brings your school roster into the carnival’s competitor list in one action. Before you start, check that the Students list includes newcomers and accounts for students who have left.

Registration creates the carnival list; you still choose entrants for each event separately. Students already registered are skipped, so you can use the action again after adding newcomers.

Register the school roster

Open the carnival you want to use, then select Competitors. Check who is already listed. The action will add students from your school roster to this carnival only.
Click Add All Students. Read the confirmation carefully: it includes every student in your school’s roster, not only the students eligible for events you have made.
When you are ready, click Yes, register all. Wait for the Competitors list to refresh. Students already on the list keep their registration; new competitors receive numbers.
The refreshed Competitors list shows the registered students and their numbers. Use Search to spot-check names, houses, year levels and competitor numbers against your school’s Students list. Existing registrations should still be there.

You can now add competitors to individual events and build the carnival programme.

If a student is missing

If someone is missing, check whether they are in your school’s Students list. Add or correct their school record, then use Add All Students again; existing competitors are skipped.

If you registered the wrong students

If the list includes students who should not take part, do not delete their school records to fix this carnival. The Competitors page has no bulk undo. Ask Houseplay support for help correcting the carnival’s competitor list.
