Edit a carnival’s settings

Change an existing carnival’s details and check that the new settings were saved.

If a carnival’s name, dates or result-review process changes after you create it, an organisation admin can update its details on the Edit page. Once events exist, the carnival’s Age Grouping Method is locked.

If you are changing dates, check the programme afterwards too.

Change and check the carnival

1. Open the carnival Dashboard and choose Edit. Check the current details before making a change.

2. Update the carnival details you need to change.

3. Choose Update Carnival.

If you need to change Age Grouping Method, do so before adding events. For an age-grouped carnival, also check its age calculation date and categories before registering competitors. If you change the carnival dates, review the Program after saving. Houseplay may ask you to unschedule events that would fall outside the new date range; check those events and give them new times before distributing an updated program.
