Set up houses and colours

Add, edit and delete school houses and choose their colours.

Your school’s houses are shared across its carnivals. If a house was not included during setup, an organisation admin can add it in Settings and choose the colour staff will recognise beside its name.

The steps below show how to add a house and check it in the saved list.

Add a house

1. Open Settings → Houses and review the existing names.

2. Enter the house Name, choose its Color, then select Create House.

Check that the saved name and colour appear in the house list. If either needs changing, choose Edit beside the house.

If you are preparing a student import, use these house names in your file. Prepare a student file that will import cleanly explains how to match the file to your school settings.

Edit a house

1. Open Settings → Houses. Choose Edit beside the house you want to update. Change the Name or Color, then choose Save.

Check the saved row to confirm your changes.

Delete a house

Deletion is permanent. A house cannot be deleted while students belong to it. Reassign those students to another house first.

1. Open Settings → Houses, choose Edit beside the unwanted house, then Delete. Check the name in the confirmation before choosing Yes, delete. Choose Cancel if you want to keep it.

Check the list again to confirm the house has gone.
