Add and remove competitors from an event

Add students to an individual event and remove an entry made in error.

Each individual event has its own competitor list. Open the event’s Competitors page to choose the students taking part.

Start with an event you have already created. This example uses year level grouping; an age-grouped event uses the carnival’s age categories instead.

Manage the event competitor list

  1. Open your carnival’s Events list and choose Competitors for the individual event.

  2. Click Add Students to open the student picker.

  3. Eligible shows students matching this event’s year level or age category, and gender. All shows the full school roster, including students outside those groups.

  4. Choose the students taking part. Check the Selected count, then click Add Students to save them to this event.

If you entered the wrong student, correct the event list before results are recorded. Delete on this page removes that student’s event entry and any result on it. It does not remove the student from your school’s list.

  1. To correct an entry made in error, open that student’s menu and choose Delete. Check that the student disappears from this event while the intended competitors remain.

Check the event’s Competitors list before officials start recording results. If an expected student is missing from the Eligible tab, check their year level or age, gender, and school record before trying again. Students already entered in this event appear selected and cannot be added twice.
